Shingles Vaccine at Butler TownshipIf you are over 50 years old and Uninsured or Underinsured... the Department of Health will be administering the SHINGLES vaccine.

Shingles (Zoster) vaccine helps prevent Shingles.  It is caused by the same virus that causes chickenpox.  The virus stays in your body and can resurface any time as Shingles – a painful, blistering rash.  Even if you feel healthy, your risk for Shingles increases as you get older.
