Butler Township is located in southern Luzerne County and is dissected by Interstates 80 and 81. Butler Township Police provide 24/7 protection to more than 10,000 residents within our 36 square mile area. Officers are covered by a collective bargaining agreement and offer a competitive benefits package. New employee salary incentives are available for previous full-time police experience.
Position Highlights:
2027 Starting Pay: $52,166 - $65,208 based on experience
Step increases over 3-4 years to Patrolman 2 salary (full rate) $86,944
